# US Venture Capital Firms Backing SaaS and B2B Software, by Stage (769 Firms, 2026)

TL;DR
- 769 of the 791 US venture capital firms Qubit’s research places in SaaS and B2B software have a documented stage. All of them file with the [SEC](https://www.sec.gov/data-research/sec-markets-data/information-about-registered-investment-advisers-exempt-reporting-advisers).
- Split by stage: Pre-seed 383, Seed 572, Early stage (Series A–B) 434, Growth and later 336.
- Qubit’s investor research provides stage and sector. Firms whose stage is undocumented are excluded rather than guessed.

Coatue Management holds $128.7 billion, more than any other firm here. It is also among the least likely to fund a first round.

These firms also back AI, Fintech and Cybersecurity. Miami is home to 1.29 times its usual share of them. 6 of these funds stay inside three sectors or fewer.

Measured against the whole documented US roster, that is 49.6 percent. 591 of the 769 fund more than one stage.

## How the list was assembled

These 791 firms are taken from [SEC Form ADV filings](https://www.sec.gov/data-research/sec-markets-data/information-about-registered-investment-advisers-exempt-reporting-advisers) dated 1 July 2026. Both SEC rosters are read. 652 of these firms file as exempt reporting advisers and 139 as registered advisers.

One row each for the 49 SaaS and B2B software venture capital firms carrying multiple SEC registrations. Both names are shown for the 180 whose trading name differs from the filed one. Each firm files its own asset figure once a year.

Any dash below means we could not document that detail for that firm.

## Pre-seed: 383 firms

383 of them back founders at the earliest point, ahead of revenue. 102 of them back Healthtech. The largest are Horsley Bridge Partners, Greenoaks, Spark Capital and LUX Capital Management.

## Seed: 572 firms

These 572 firms state they lead or join seed rounds. The largest are Truebridge Capital Partners, Anthology Fund, Nfdg and Addition.

## Early stage (Series A–B): 434 firms

These 434 come in at Series A or B, after traction. The largest are WestBridge Capital, 137 Ventures Management, Aquiline Technology Growth and CRV.

## Growth and later: 336 firms

336 firms here invest at growth stage. The largest are H.I.G. Capital, Altimeter Capital Management, FTV Capital and Fisher Lynch Capital.

## All 769 firms

Those 769 SaaS and B2B software firms are a starting universe, not a pitch list. The overlap with AI is 324 firms, and your stage narrows it further. Qubit’s [investor mapping](/startup-services/investor-mapping) narrows it to the firms that fit your round.
